Akshay Kumar birthday: Will 2017 be a blockbuster year for Akki with Jolly LLB 2, 2.0 & Crack?

The Khiladi of Bollywood Akshay Kumar has turned 49 today!

Today the Akkians would be on celebratory mode for the very simple reason – it is Akshay Kumar’s birthday. Looking at the actor who will say that superstar has turned 49 today, he looks so damn young! The ladies would be jealous of Twinkle Khanna as she is super lucky to have such an amazing man in her life as her husband and the young lads and may be some actors from the industry would be burning inside seeing Akki’s super fit body. Everyone knows how disciplined is Akshay in both real and reel life. Though he has given many blockbusters Akshay is hardly seen boasting about his success and that what makes him different from that stars in the industry. This year was truly special for Akki and even for his fans.

Be it ‘Airlift’, ‘Housefull 3’ or ‘Rustom’, fans and critics loved Akshay Kumar’s performance in all these three films. Whether it is action, romance, comedy – Akki nails it with his charm and natural acting skills and mind you he has clearly said, comedy is the most difficult genre for any actor. Now the question is will the year 2017 turn out to be a blockbuster for our birthday boy just like this year? Will his upcoming films ‘Jolly LLB 2’, ‘2.0’ and ‘Crack’ slated to release in 2017 do commercially well at the box office? Will his roles in these films be accepted by the audience? There are so many questions that’s popping in our heads. ‘Jolly LLB 2’ is an upcoming courtroom comedy drama in which Akshay Kumar would be seen playing the role of a lawyer in this sequel. Huma Qureshi is paired opposite the actor in the film. Recently, Akki had tweeted a picture of his last shot of Lucknow schedule. Now this is going to be different genre. Akshay had started the year 2016 with a serious film ‘Airlift’ but it’s not the same in case of 2017. Now will that idea turn lucky for Akshay is what we have to see. The movie directed by Subhash Kapoor also stars Annu Kapoor, Manav Kaul, Elli Avram, Saurabh Shukla in key roles and Arshad Warsi in a cameo role. The upcoming film ‘2.0’ is a sequel to ‘Enthiran’ and everyone were left stunned when the announcement was made that Akshay Kumar is going to share screen space with Rajinikanth. It’s a science fiction film in which Akshay would be playing the role of Dr. Richard. When Akki’s look in the film surfaced online, people were just shocked. His avatar was unrecognisable and not just that, he looked scary as hell. Now this is something unusual for Akkians and how far will it be accepted only time will tell. The movie directed by S. Akshay Kumar has once again joined hands with Neeraj Pandey and this time it’s for ‘Crack’. Yes the film is scheduled to release on Independence Day next year. Akshay had confirmed the news about this upcoming by announcing it on Twitter and he also released the film’s poster. This seems to be an interesting choice made by Akshay. The three films – ‘Jolly LLB 2’, ‘2.0’ and ‘Crack’ are the three films of Akshay Kumar that would be releasing next year. But there are four other projects on which the superstar of Bollywood will start working next year. The projects include ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’, ‘Namastey England’, ‘Hera Pheri 3’ and ‘Theri’ (Hindi remake). Akshay is having a tight schedule next year. So, let’s wait and watch if 2017 turns lucky or not for Akshay Kumar.
