KOCHI: The Njarackal police have registered suo motu case against eight people, including Njarackal panchayat member
Mini Raju and chairman of
Janaseva Sishubhavan Jose Maveli, for killing
stray dogs.
On Tuesday, a group led by Mini allegedly killed seven stray dogs.
"People in the area had complained that they were living under the threat of stray dog attack. We have decided to kill the dogs after the threat posed by ferocious stray dogs became intolerable," said Mini.

Rageesh Kumar said that the police have started probe into the incident.
"We have registered
suo motu cases following reports in the media," said Kumar.
