ANP will sweep next general elections in KP: Hoti

BUNER: Provincial president of Awami National Party Ameer Haidar Hoti said on Thursday that terrorism had inflicted heavy losses on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the bloodshed of Pakhtuns was still continuing.
He was addressing the party workers’ convention at Jewar, Salarzai, in PK-79 here. ANP provincial general secretary Sardar Hussain Babak and other party leaders were also present on the occasion. They regretted that the rulers and ministers had failed to mitigate the miseries of affected people.
Mr Hoti repeated his claim that the 2013 general elections were fixed against ANP as conspirators had assigned the task to Taliban chief Hakimullah Mehsud to harass the party workers and supporters and target their leaders so as to steal the mandate at gunpoint.
Mr Hoti and Mr Babak in their addresses claimed that the ANP workers and leaders contested the general elections as a challenge despite threats to their lives. They hoped that the people would elect honest leaders in the 2018 general elections. They claimed that ANP would sweep the next general elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Says workers to make decision on party tickets in future
They said that decision on award of party tickets for the next general elections would be made by the workers.
They said that despite threats the party leaders never confined themselves to offices, but went to masses and continued efforts for peace in the region. They criticised the PML-N and PTI chiefs for keeping silence on the suicide attacks in Quetta and Mardan and accused them of enjoying public rallies when these cities were bleeding.
The ANP leaders alleged that Imran Khan reached power with the help of Punjabi lobby to loot KP’s natural resources. They said that they would ensure that KP got its due share in the NFC award and CPEC.
They urged upon youths to come forward and lead the nation towards progress and prosperity.
On this occasion over 100 people joined ANP and both the provincial president and general secretary welcomed them into the party.
