GB Road sex ring: Henchman held in Bulandshahr

Delhi: GB Road's kotha queen, husband held
NEW DELHI: The key henchman of the human trafficking racket being run at GB Road, Sarfaraz Billi, was finally arrested by the Delhi Police crime branch late on Thursday evening. He was hiding in Bulandshahr. He was the muscleman for the prime accused in the case, Afaq Hussain and Saira Begum, who were arrested earlier.
A lookout notice had been issued for Billi after Hussain and Saira confessed that he helped them run the business.
He was tracked down by teams led by DCP Bhisham Singh. Billi used to coordinate with the agents along with the other henchmen — Rashid Kashmiri, Shehnaz and Anu. The human trafficking nexus was spread to Nepal and other countries.
Probe revealed that Billi used to update Husaain about the daily affairs of the gang through phone. Three women, Mumtaz, Shilpa and Beena, helped him manage the kotha. They got a salary of Rs 25,000-30,000 per month. Billi would also bribe the local cops to keep the business going. The girls being trafficked to the kothas would be brought after his approval.
Cops have found that the kingpin couple had invested in 12 properties, including six kothas on GB Road. Documents seized from Saira showed that electricity connections were obtained for these kothas on forged sale deeds obtained by Billi. The police have begun the process of attaching the properties.
