A managerial employee of the Gujarat State Fertiliser and Chemicals Ltd (GSFC) has been reported missing since Tuesday.

According to Chhani police, who are probing the missing complaint, Rajesh Shah had reported to work on Tuesday, but around 12.30 pm “he approached his senior manager and asked him for a break as he needed to visit his home.”

“The manager permitted him to go, but Rajesh never reached home or returned to his workplace. When his phone was also unreachable, his friend Jayant Shah filed a missing complaint with police”.

While spokespersons of GSFC have confirmed that Rajesh has been missing, they refused to divulge any details. A senior officer of the company said that “all efforts” were being made to trace Rajesh, who has been part of the operations team of the company.

Police said Rajesh has not left any note about his absence.
