Minister for Information Technology, Technical Education, Youth Services and Sports, Molvi Imran Raza Ansari today said that the State Government is committed for speeding up developmental initiatives in various sectors, and proper augmentation of existing infra, besides time bound implementation of new welfare programmes for achieving the target of overall progress for the State.The Minister said this while speaking at a review meeting convened to discuss the status of various welfare programmes undertaken in Pattan constituency of the Baramulla district. Among others, the review meeting was attended by senior district officers of R&B, PHE, Health, PDD and District Administration.During the meeting, Ansari directed the officers of PHE to ensure requisite facilities of clean drinking portable water for the people of Pattan Constituency by undertaking proper augmentation of the already existing water supply schemes, besides proposing new water supply schemes which can be pursued with the concerned authorities. He also called for speeding up work on  Parihaspora Regional Water Schemes, besides Wanigam Payeen, Yadipora, Gohal Chako, Aglar Vusun, Sultanpora and other water supply schemes underway in the constituency.

The Minister also directed the officers of R&B Department to ensure macadamization of various roads and link roads for providing people proper road connectivity in the constituency. He directed early completion of various roads which include Hamray to Goshbugh, Hyder Beigh to Chanderseer, Sheerpora to Mamoosa, Panzinara to Mirgund road via Rambail Garh-Check Raza Khan, Pothaar to Shall Bagh road, Reenji to Pothar road via Boosch and Poshnag.He also asked the R&B Department to identify new locations where work can be undertaken, so that new areas are also macadamized for improving road network. He stressed that officers should ensure that the funds earmarked for development under R&B Sector are utilized fully in a transparent manner. He said that providing proper road connectivity to different areas of the State is one of the priorities of the present Government which would give an impetus to the economy and trade related activities.On the occasion, Molvi Imran Ansari directed PDD officers to ensure proper augmentation of the electric infra so that people living in Pattan and its catchment areas get adequate supply of electric power. He said for this the concerned officers should work in close coordination with the people of the area so that the need based and area specific augmentation is ensured properly.He also called for providing all the requisite facilities to the Trauma Hospital at Pattan so that it is made functional for the benefit of the people. He also asked for purchasing a new ambulance for Pattan Hospital for which an amount of Rs. 8.7 lakh has already been released from his Constituency Development Fund.
