14-yr-old raped in Kannauj

KANPUR: A 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped by an alleged village hoodlum when she was alone at her home in a village under the limits of Kotwali police station in Kannauj district.
The incident took place late on Tuesday evening and came to light after girl's parents lodged a complaint on Wednesday.
Sonu, an alleged local hoodlum, allegedly raped the girl when she was alone in her house on Wednesday evening.She later narrated the incident to her father, who then lodged a complaint with police on Wednesday evening, Inspector Kotwali Santosh Kumar Awasthi said.
On the complaint of the victim's father, police lodged a case against the accused under section 376 of IPC and section 3, 4 of POCSO Act, he said, adding the accused was yet to be arrested.
The victim was sent for medical examination, he said.
