Power Grid gives land compensation

Batote, September 7

An amount of Rs 9.45 lakh was distributed among villagers of Thopal and Dhralta in Batote as compensation by the Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. for their land acquired for erecting towers of the Kishenpur-Dulhasti power transmission Lline here today.

Saifullah Shah, naib-tehsildar, Batote, said Shobha Ram, Rakesh Kumar and Vaishna Devi of Thopal village were given a cheque of Rs 45,000 each as compensation while Mohammed Iqbal of Dhralta village was given a cheque of Rs 8.10 lakh by a team of PGCIL headed by Kusum Sharma, Collector, Land Acquisition PGCIL.

However, three other Parmeshwari Devi, Guddi Devi and Bimla Devi failed to turn up. — TNS
