IPG® Novashield® 40 Series Structure Fabric Listed on the CRRC Rated Products Directory

MONTREAL, QUEBEC and SARASOTA, FLORIDA – Intertape Polymer Group® Inc. (“IPG®” or the "Company"), a leading manufacturer of woven coated products, received a listing of IPG’s NovaShield® 400 series (FRU88X-6 white and RU88X-6 white) on the Cool Roof Rating Council (CRRC) Rated Products Directory.

The CRRC requires two properties to be measured by an independent accredited lab, Solar Reflectance and Thermal Emittance, then simulates the aging process in a lab for three years and retests the aged products. In Solar Reflectance, aged NovaShield 400 FRU88X-6 scored 0.76 on a scale of 0-1 with 1 being the absolute best, while NovaShield 400 RU88X-6 scored 0.72 out of 1. California’s title 24 has the nation’s most stringent regulation compliance at 0.63 and IPG’s NovaShield overwhelmingly tops that mark with both products.

“I am very pleased with the aged testing results from CRRC,” states Sherryl Patton, IPG Research Development Manager. “What this rating means is that a building built with NovaShield should require a lot less energy to heat or keep cool and that equals big savings for our customers. I’m happy that we now have the test results to back this up.”
