INDORE: The second day of centralized counselling conducted at Mahatama Gandhi Memorial Medical College (MGM) witnessed the presence of more students than the first day.
A total of 300 students have reported for counselling so far. Moreover, fear of resistance from the private colleges/universities was laid to rest as they did not disrupt the process.
On Tuesday, 200 more students reported for counseling while scrutiny of over 60 applicants was completed.

Counselling coordinator, Dr Sanjay Dixit said, "The entire process has been streamlined. There is no resistance from private colleges/universities now. Counselling is going smoothly. Admission will be allotted to candidates once scrutiny is done."
MGM is holding counselling to fill over 700 seats in six medical colleges.
On Tuesday, the college administration handed over a check list to the aspiring medicos so that they come prepared for counselling.
However, on Tuesday, some of candidates did not bring bank drafts to submit fees while some made mistakes in affidavit that had to be submitted. Only a few could adhere to the 20-point checklist for admission.
Communication gap between directorate of medical education (DME) and aspiring medicos also created confusion. "DME office could have emailed checklist to the candidates appearing in counselling or advertised in newspapers. Many do not know about the counselling schedule. Students could have been alerted via SMS. This gap led to poor turn out and hassles in the counselling," said a source.
