Sunday was one of our nation's most important and storied holidays—the 35th anniversary of the birth of Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter. So it should come as no surprise that Sunday night, at her husband's Made in America music festival in Philadelphia, someone would sing her "Happy Birthday." What we couldn't have hoped for even in our wildest dreams was that the moment would be so perfect in every single way. There are many reasons why it was perfect, but before we get to those, enjoy Chance the Rapper singing to Beyoncé.

Reason No. 1 why this is perfect: Chance the Rapper is an angel sent to make the world great.

And other tales of Chance's general adorability at the VMAs.

Reason No. 2 this is perfect: Chance chose not to sing the boring version of "Happy Birthday," and he didn't sing the version they sing to you at Applebee's. No, Chance chose to sing the Simpsons version of the song that Michael Jackson sang. This is inarguably the greatest version of "Happy Birthday."

Reason No. 3: Beyoncé's reaction to the song. She seemed so touched and almost shy about it. It's a good look for the most famous, glamorous performer in the world.

Reason No. 4: Malia Obama is there, just casually hanging out with Beyoncé and Jay Z. I like to imagine that Michelle called Bey to check in on Malia every few hours.

And reason No. 5 this is perfect: Malia Obama's "Smoking Kills" T-shirt that playfully mocks her Lollapalooza weed incident.

When you add it all up, you get a moment that captures everything that's still beautiful about the world in 2016. Thank you, Chance, for giving it to us, and thank you, Michelle and Barack, for letting Malia be there.
