The statement said Pakistani troops responded suitably following which Indian guns were made silent.

Due to firing and shelling from the Indian side of the border, at least three houses along the LoC were damaged, said ISPR.

No casualties or damage to Pakistani troops was reported until the last information came in, the ISPR statement added.

Regardless of a border truce accord between Pakistan and India signed in the year 2003, cross-border firing incidents along the line of control is intermittent with both the neighbours accusing the other regularly of violating it.
