Gadre marine exports to target hotels, restaurants in financial year

PANAJI: Gadre Marine Export Pvt Ltd, a processed seafood company with a three decade old history has expanded its operations in Goa with into the hotels, restaurants and caterers (HORECA) segment.
Announcing the company’s strategy to look beyond the retail market, managing director Arjun Gadre said that the company was aiming at beach shacks and restaurants in Goa given that they have year round tourism business.“People come to Goa to enjoy seafood and we have the best product range which offers best pricing, quality and convenience” said Gadre.
Gadre Marine Pvt Ltd already exports Surimi and other Fish products in large quantities to Japan, Taiwan, Malaysia, Korea and Australia. The company presently running 3 plants one in Ratnagiri, another in Chorwad Gujarat and Brahmwar- Karnataka. After focusing purely on exports, Gadre has now decided to focus on the Indian market.
“Fish is considered to be most difficult meat to deal with, in terms of its delicate texture, the amount of time required for its cleaning and preparation. Gadre’s ready to cook product range is available consistently throughout the year maintaining the quality and improving kitchen efficiency,” Gadre added.
