IF Georges St-Pierre is really returning to fight again, middleweight champion Michael Bisping is ready to welcome him back.

The reigning middleweight champion has danced around the possibility of fighting St-Pierre over the past few months, ever since rumours first popped up that the Canadian was contemplating a return to action for the first time in three years. St-Pierre specifically mentioned Bisping as a fight that would interest him but the bout never came together.

Since then, St-Pierre has seemingly shifted his attention towards possible fights against welterweight king Tyron Woodley or long-time rival Nick Diaz but Bisping recently offered up a fiery invitation to meet him in the Octagon this December in Toronto.

“Quit being a p***y, Georges,” Bisping said when speaking to the Daily Star in England.

“I officially challenge Georges St-Pierre to a fight in Toronto in December. I would love to fight Georges St-Pierre in December in Toronto. I fight in October, I could make it in December. That’s two months. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.”

Bisping is currently scheduled to face Dan Henderson in the main event at UFC 204 in his hometown of Manchester, England on October 8.

Bisping sounds confident that he’ll run through Henderson and still be healthy enough to fight on December 10 when the UFC returns to Toronto for UFC 206.

The middleweight champion even offered a concession to St-Pierre with a catch weight fight to entice the Canadian to accept a bout with him in December.

“I’ll fight him at 180lbs. Right here, right now, I challenge him,” Bisping said. “Georges St-Pierre, put your big boy boots on, get your gloves on, get your mouthpiece on and get with Freddie Roach. If you want to do it, let’s go.

“Georges St-Pierre would get sent back to retirement in his hometown — all right he’s from Montreal.”

St-Pierre is currently undergoing the required four months of drug testing by USADA (United States Anti-Doping Agency) before he would be eligible to return in December. There are also contract negotiations that must be settled as St-Pierre looks to update his deal with the UFC after not fighting for the past three years.

If those issues are settled, a Bisping-St-Pierre showdown could certainly do big business for the UFC later this year.
