Pickpockets arrested, stolen cash recovered

JAMMU, Sept 5: Satwari police arrested two pickpockets and recovered stolen cash from their possession.
As per police sources, Fathey Mohammad, son of Alif Din of Balol Pull Indra Nagar, Miran Sahib lodged a report with Police Station Satwari stating that two unknown persons stole Rs 8000 from his pocket, when he was travelling in a mini-bus from Jammu towards Gadigarh.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 172/16 under Section 379 RPC was registered and a team from Satwari police station intercepted the vehicle and started checking.
During checking, two persons were apprehended along with stolen cash.
The accused have been identified as Bilal Ahmed Shekh alias Billu, son of Mohammad Ashraf Shekh of Srinagar and Ajay Kumar, son of Som Nath of Gopalpur District Eta, both presently residing in Sunjawan.
Further questioning of the accused persons is going on.
Police team led by SHO Satwari Inspector Manjeet Singh and assisted by ASI Ashiq Ali made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO South Sachin Gupta and SP South Shaazad Salaria.
