It was an afternoon dedicated to belly dancing and walking the ramp when the Institute of Home Economics rocked the Oppo Delhi Times Fresh Face 2016. With Sukh-E being the celebrity judge at the event, first-years were quite excited to get on stage and show off their talent.
Dance pe chance
As DJ Sumit Sethi belted out some groovy numbers, emcee Maddy kept the crowd engaged. In the talent round, most girls decided to either walk the ramp or dance.
Naze Dhankhar, the winner from the college, set the stage afire with her belly dancing. “I am also learning ballet, besides belly dancing, and I like both forms. I’ve been learning belly dancing for longer and given a chance, will make a career in this field,” she said during the Q&A round. In the talent round, both Prachi Kalra, the first runner-up, and Tulika Singh, the second runner-up, walked the ramp.

Sukh-E turned out to be very popular with the girls there, and also clicked selfies with the crowd. “I am honoured to be here. The response has really been encouraging,” he enthused.
