AHMEDABAD: There may be barely a name to remember when it comes to recalling a famous shuttler from Mehsana. But Tasnim Mir is hell bent on creating a name of her own. The Mehsana youngster stamped her authority in the recently concluded 6th Gujarat State Sub-Junior Badminton Championship in Vadodara.
She won hattrick of titles in the state meet bagging the girls singles U-13 and 15 and doubles U-15 titles.

In the under-13 singles final, top seed Tasnim brushed aside local favourite and second seed Shreya Lele 21-10, 21-13 without breaking a sweat.
Same was the case in the under-15 final where the Mehsana girl breezed past second seed Kosha Lele of Vadodara 21-9, 21-14.
Meanwhile, partnering with Yuti Gajjar of Vadodara, Tasnim overcame some anxious moments to beat second seed Jeel Patel of Mehsana and Tanish Joshi of Jamnagar for the crown to complete her hatttrick of titles.
Kavish Parikh brought some cheers to Ahmedabad when he battled hard to pocket the under-13 boys' singles crown.
However, Kavish faced heartbreak in the doubles as he and his partner Aryansh Chokshi, the top seeds, suffered 13-21, 16-21 loss to Ahan Patel and Milap Chaudhary of Mehsana in the under-13 boys' doubles final.

Ahmedabad had something more to cheer about as top seed Aakash Patel and Sahil Pathan fought off their second seed rivals Tanish Labha of Surat and Teerthraj Patel of Vadodara in a closely contested under-15 boys' doubles match.
The Ahmedabad pair won the first game 22-20 before sealing the deal with an intense 25-23 win in the second game.
However, Aakash could not make it double joy after losing his under-15 boys' singles match.
