Around 2 PM, Jeetendra took darshan and participated in aarti at his old place. He then visited the home where he and his mother used to stay. "My mother was hard working. Today everything is going fast forward in front of my eyes. I have spent 22 beautiful and great years of my life here in Girgaon. The Ganeshostav during my time was really good," he said.

"I still remember during Ganeshostav in this chawl, all used to stay awake and all doors were open. During my stay, whenever we required anything we used to ask our neighbours and they used to help us without keeping anything in mind. All of them were really helpful," added the actor.

The residents felicitated the actor for getting the Maharashtra government's Raj Kapoor Lifetime Contribution Award.
