Motormouth. Maniac. Incorrigible. Ram Gopal Varma is many things apart from a once-talented filmmaker who has become...well. His films might not put the box office on Aag anymore but his tweets and comments definitely does the needful.

From earning the ire of some of India's biggest film personalities and, of course, the very touchy Twitterati, RGV has rubbed anyone, everyone and their mother in all the wrong ways possible.

On Ganesh Chaturthi, the poor man took to Twitter to apologise to Lord Ganesha for his sons. But given the things RGV has said and done, it's doubtful whether Ganesha will be in a mood to listen.

When the self-proclaimed atheist apologises

Ramu is an atheist and every once in a while, the man tweets something or the other to irritate and troll religious folks. The man not only apologised for all his sins, but also his film Aag, the remake of Sholay...which was Ramu's original sin.

When RGV couldn't stop talking about Sridevi's thunder thighs

Ram Gopal Varma is not a man to mince words. While the country might be in awe of Sridevi's success and while everyone might attribute her success to her beauty and talent, RGV thought otherwise: it was her thunder thighs that did the trick!

When RGV found it wise to take on Thalaivar

No one, not down south or up in north, has the guts to speak ill of Thalaivar Rajinikanth. But not Ram Gopal Varma. This was after the release of TE3N, he began saying things like, "My belief as a Rajini fan is if Amitabh Bachchan does Robot it will do far, far better and if Rajinikanth does TE3N, it will do far, far lesser".

Of course, Twitterati was *this* short of skinning Ramu alive, and thus, he had to apologise.

When RGV targeted Shah Rukh Khan

When Ram Gopal Varma got wind of the fact that SRK might play a dwarf in Aanand L Rai's film, he tweeted the following:

Ramu went on to question Shah Rukh's acting skills by calming calling him a star and not a 'grt actr'

But, in the end, he did tweet this, to, perhaps, strike a balance...

And, of course, when he made Aag

The collosal failure of Aag still reverberates in Bollywood history. Who in his right mind would want to remake Amitabh Bachchan's iconic film Sholay? But, then, RGV doesn't have a 'right mind'.

Things got downright hilarious, when Ramu tried to screw around with director Anurag Kashyap whose Bombay Velvet had just flopped at the box office in 2015.

And this was just outright brutal.

But little did he know that he had met his match...
