Don Bosco to represent NE at WWF quiz in Delhi

Don Bosco School, Panbazar, will represent the northeast region in the national finals of the WWF Wild Wisdom Quiz to be held at New Delhi on October 6.

GUWAHATI: Don Bosco School, Panbazar, will represent the northeast region in the national finals of the WWF Wild Wisdom Quiz to be held at New Delhi on October 6.
This year, the quiz was conducted in 13 cities across India, reaching out to more than 1,100 schools and 45,000 students. The theme of this year's WWF Wild Wisdom Quiz is 'evolution and biodiversity'.
The quiz is supported by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). In the northeast, 2,415 students from 47 schools in Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh participated.
The quiz started with a welcome address by Archita Baruah Bhattacharyya, coordinator of the Assam and Arunachal Pradesh state office of WWF-India and an interaction with forest officer Naranyan Mahanta on wildlife conservation.
In a closely contested competition conducted by quizmaster Abhra Das, Adhiraj Kar (Class V), Siddhanth Roy (Class V) of DPS Guwahati emerged as junior-level champions in the northeast city finals. Bhraaz Kashyap (Class VIII) and Krishti Nayana Nath (Class VI) of Don Bosco School, Panbazar won in the middle-level contest.
