On Teacher's Day, Google Doodle's Special Tribute To Educators

Today's google doodle honours all the teachers across the globe.

New Delhi: From ABCD to mathematical theorems, from zig-zag lines to beautiful paintings, they taught us all. A teacher is a shining guiding spirit for all. Because of our teachers we are who we are, and so while India celebrates September 5th as Teachers' Day, Google has also in its style has wished and honoured our teachers. 

Teachers' Day is celebrated across the globe, but on different dates. The idea of celebrating Teachers' Day took root in many countries during the 20th century; in most cases, they celebrate a local educator or an important milestone in education. In India, since 1962, Teachers' Day is celebrated on the birthday of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, second President of India.

Today's Google doodle is all about how our teachers have inspired us and how we have followed their lead in being who we are today. The doodle shows a bespectacled pencil teacher holding a book in its hands and followed by students, who are jumping running and hopping. The teacher pencil is reading out while the students are in their own unique way following and learning.
