Woman assaulted after quarrel, 2 held
A 50-year-old homemaker was attacked by two women following a quarrel near a street tap at Kamaraj Nagar in Pallavaram on Friday night.

CHENNAI: A 50-year-old homemaker was attacked by two women following a quarrel near a street tap at Kamaraj Nagar in Pallavaram on Friday night.
Police said Rani was fetching water from a tap around 9 pm when her neighbours Manju, 36, and Karpagam, 24, picked up a fight with her. They assaulted Rani with an wooden club.
The victim went to Chrompet government hospital and was sent home after treatment.Police arrested Manju and Karpagam, who were produced before a court. The duo were sent Puzhal central jail.
