KATHUA, Sept 3: District Kathua Rope Skipping Association in collaboration with Jammu Sanskriti School organized Kathua Zone Level Rope Skipping Championship.
In the Championship, more than 150 students from 16 various schools of Kathua and Jammu took part.
On the valedictory function, the chief guest was Rashpal Verma, Vice Chairperson and Minister of OBC. He addressed the students and motivated them to play with true sportsmanship spirit.
Aditi Sharma, Senior Leader BJP and National President of AWICT was present also present as special guest.
Shuchita Gupta, Principal Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua while speaking said that games play a vital role in every body’s life as it keeps body mentally and physically fit and also helps to stay away from indulging in malpractices like drug addiction.
In the Championship, Holy Family Convent School emerged winner, while runner-up team was Jammu Sanskriti School, Kathua. Best Girls team award was clinched by Government. Girls School Nagri Parole. The overall runner team goes to Little Flower High School Kathua, the award of Best Player of Kathua Zone was bagged by Vipul Yashovardhan of Jammu Sanskriti School, Kathua.
Earlier, the Championship was declared open by Khalil Poswal, Additional Superintendent of Police Kathua, who was the chief guest. He while speaking encouraged the children with his motivating speech. He asked the students to participate in such events.
