AHMEDABAD: A 60-year-old woman has registered a complaint with Kalol taluka police against her two sons for killing her third son and disposing off his body to destroy evidence. Police rounded up the two late on Thursday.
According to Kalol taluka police, Rajuben Thakor, a resident of Arsodiya village near Kalol in Gandhinagar district, works as a labourer at an eatery.
Her two sons Ashokji, 40, and Arvindji, 34, live at Virol village nearby. She was with them on August 31 when her youngest son Sureshji, 30, had paid a visit.
"Suresh had been recently released on bail in a case of rape. Ashokji and Arvindji argued with him because they had spent a lot of money to get him out on bail. As per Rajuben's complaint, the duo overpowered Suresh and had stabbed him repeatedly to death," said an investigator. The brothers cleaned up the blood-smeared spot and forbid family members of reporting the incident. The duo then disposed off their clothes and also took Sureshji's body early on Thursday for cremation. Rajuben fled from home and contacted police.
