GANDHINAGAR: BJP national president and Naranpura MLA Amit Shah arrived in Ahmedabad on Thursday night. On Friday morning, he will meet chief minister Vijay Rupani, deputy CM Nitin Patel, Gujarat BJP president Jitu Vaghani and other key leaders. Shah will then attend the golden jubilee celebrations of a school run by a BJP worker. At around 5.00pm, he will have meeting with the core group of the state BJP at the party headquaters 'Kamalam' at Koba near Gandhinagar.
He will discuss the strategy of the party for the 2017 elections. He is also likely to discuss the appointments in party forums as new general secretaries, vice presidents, cell and morcha leaders etc.
Key sources said that Shah will discuss the appointments of party workers to key boards, corporations and companies as chairpersons and board members. He will also discuss appointments to the district and state level government bodies, where the posts are political in nature.
