Divider removed to ease traffic flow

Lucknow: In an attempt to make way for traffic coming from Newal Kishore Road and going towards Hazratganj crossing a divider on Ashok Marg, in front on Talwar petrol pump, was removed on Thursday.
Circle officer, traffic, Awanish Mishra, said, "A cut has been made on Ashok Marg and traffic coming from Newal Kishore Road will be allowed to move on trial basis. This has been done in order to ease some pressure on Shahnajaf Road." He also said that two traffic marshals have been deputed to ensure a smooth flow of traffic in the area as the movement vehicles from Sikanderbagh crossing is likely to get obstructed by recent Metro diversions.
Meanwhile, smartphones were distributed among traffic marshals manning diversions on Hazratganj route so that they can click pictures of traffic rule violators and send them to higher authorities for further inquiry.
