HYDERABAD: A ceremony was held to launch 'Sindh Stars Organisation' at a press conference on Thursday. The association has been formed by a group of prominent Sindhi singers and actors, to lobby with the government for the rights and official support for their corps.

The office-bearers introduced themselves to the people at the association's launch. Sindh's artists feel neglected and helpless due to the lack of official response, said musician Chanesar Arisar and famous Sindhi singer Shaman Ali Mirali at the press conference, adding that they are not satisfied with performance of the Sindh culture department.

They said that the organisation wants to enlist all the artists in the province as its members. The organisational committees for Karachi, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Nawabshah, Sukkur and Larkana divisions have been constituted for the purpose, they added.
