Maharashtra FYJC admissions: Fresh schedule announced, 4th round tomorrow

“From September 6 to 8, students will get admission booklets with log-in ID and password which they have to purchase by paying Rs 100,” said Dinkar Temkar, deputy director of education, Pune.

The fourth special round of admission for the 6,000 odd students in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad who have newly passed class 10 in the supplementary exams would now be undertaken from September 3, declared officials of the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) committee, while announcing the fresh schedule for the admission round on Thursday.

The most-important point to be noted is that all aspirants will have to generate new log-in ID and password by buying fresh admission booklet, even if they have taken part in the previous rounds by buying an admission booklet earlier.

Students have been asked to note that besides the colleges whose codes are listed in the booklet, the home page of the admission website displays a list of junior colleges which have newly received approval and whose information is not available in booklet.

“There are about 1,700 newly passed students and 4,100 students who have allowed to keep terms (ATKT) in one or two subjects and they are all now eligible for FYJC admissions. Since we have nearly 14,000 vacant seats, there is no issue over giving admissions. The list of vacant seats for fourth special round will be declared on September 3,” said Dinkar Temkar, deputy director of education, Pune.

“From September 6 to 8, students will get admission booklets with log-in ID and password which they have to purchase by paying Rs 100,” added Temkar.

Festive offer

“The form is divided into two parts: Part 1 has personal information and it is mandatory for students to get it approved by September 8 at the designated centres. For approval, self-attested online marksheets will suffice,” added Temkar.

The merit list would be declared on September 10 at 11 am and students will have time September 13 4 pm to confirm their seats, said a CAP official.

Besides the repeater students, students who had passed in first attempt and had taken part in previous CAP rounds but are unhappy with allotted colleges can also apply for fresh allocation but for such students as well, it will be mandatory to buy a fresh admission booklet.

The CAP official said candidates have to fill a minimum of 10 and maximum 15 colleges in list of choice colleges in Part 2 of the form.

Students who have got ATKT in one or two subjects will have to fill in their overall marks out of 600 and not the best of five scores.

“We have kept different centres for distribution of booklets for students who have passed and students with ATKT as their series code are different. Candidates must ensure they buy right series. For students who have passed booklets will be sold at Huzurpaga School, Laxmi Road and Navmaharashtra High School, Pimpri, while ATKT students can take booklet from Hadapsar’s S M Joshi College,” said Meenakshi Raut, assistant director of education, Pune.
