Bharatiya Gurjar Parishad pays tributes to veteran Gujjar leader

JAMMU, Aug 31:  Rich tributes were paid to veteran Gujjar leader from the State late Wazir Mohammed Hakla of Poonch for his role in fighting insurgency during the Indo Pak wars of 1965 and 1971 at a  national level meeting of Hindu, Muslims and Sikh Gurjars from different States of country which was held at  Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh under the banner of Bharatya Gurjar Parishad presided over by its national President Shami Khatana today.
The Intellectual and prominent members of the Gujjar community who participated in the meeting unanimously decided that the Bhartiya Gurjar Parishad will aware the new generation of Gujjar community of India about the role of late CH. Wazir Mohd Hakla of Poonch who worked for the welfare and upliftment of Gujjars community of India and who defended the national cause during the wars with Pakistan in 1965 & 1971 wars.
The speakers said that Ch. Wazir Mohd Hakla played very important role for the welfare of Hindu Muslim Sikh Gujjars throughout the country who did not restrict his activities to the State but visited different parts of the country and struggled for unity among gujjars of all religions who launched a movement for grant of ST status to Gujjar community all over country.
In the meeting, unanimously a resolution was passed in which they appealed the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi to issue postal stamp on the name of nationalistic and patriotic Gujjar Leader Late Ch. Wazir Mohd Hakla as  attribute to his contribution to national cause.
Addressing in the meeting, prominent Gujjars like Satish Singh,Ch. Salahuddin , Abdul Salam, Abdul Majid, Ram Kumar Mayaram, Parasuram Patil, Ramanuj Patel, Anwar Alam,Nayar Azem, Azhar ud Din, Mehraj Ahmed, Ejaj Ahmed, etc also paid tributes to this great Gujjar leader from the State of J&K.
