'EC should have power to ban parties'

Chennai: PMK leader and MP Anbumani Ramadoss, on Wednesday, called for electoral reforms and said that the Election Commission (EC) should be given greater powers to ban political parties who bribe voters, and parties who release "fraudulent manifestos". On Tuesday, the EC released a copy of its order censuring the ruling AIADMK for violating the model code of conduct during the 2016 TN assembly election.tnn
