Break-up effect? Ranbir Kapoor admits to being alcoholic!

I think I could have an alcohol problem, said Ranbir Kapoor, of the times when he is not working.

Looks like Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor is opening up too much to the media for our comfort. We are used to Ranbir Kapoor as the brooding yet naughty but quite type. After his ‘tell-all’ interview to CNN-IBN Entertainment Editor Rajeev Masand, where he spoke about his career and his now ex-girlfriend Katrina Kaif, Ranbir Kapoor has now gone and opened his closet to Raja Sen. In a candid interview to Sen for Vogue India, the Ae Dil Hai Mushkil actor has spoken about ‘opening up’ to playing a gay character on screen! That is something unheard of for lead actors or superstars in Bollywood. We remember Shah Rukh Khan having signed up to play gay in Darmiyaan and backing out of it later. So, if Ranbir Kapoor is willing to play a homosexual now, it speaks a lot about how Bollywood has changed. And for that, we have the dishy Fawad Khan to thank, whose character in Karan Johar’s Kapoor & Sons was gay and accepted by his onscreen mother (Ratna Pathak Shah) as well as audiences.

Ranbir Kapoor too, mentioned that Fawad Khan has now opened the door for more Bollywood actors to play gay without any inhibitions or worrying about their so-called image. But the more SHOCKING REVELATION that Ranbir Kapoor made was that he admitted to being ALCOHOLIC!

Well, it was said in jest, it seems. But Ranbir Kapoor did not mince words when he told Raja Sen that when he is not working, he is, well, DRINKING! Here’s what Ranbir Kapoor said: “I think I could have an alcohol problem. It is a visual medium and I have to look after myself. When I shoot, when I work, I don’t drink. But when I’m not shooting….”

Which means Ranbir Kapoor is currently on a drinking spree, with Jagga Jasoos being postponed to 2017 and having wrapped up Ae Dil Hai Mushkil! We can understand, Ranboo, that without Katrina Kaif for company, you must be lonely. But please! Cut down on the drinking! Focus on your Sanjay Dutt biopic instead. What say, guys? Uff! Ae Dil Hai really Mushkil!
