Located on the grassland in Zhiduo county, Tibetan autonomous prefecture of Yushu, a local family tent becomes a popular hub for tourists. The owners -- Ni Ma family - are holding a reception with Tibetan food and customs for visitors the whole summer. The family owns a stretch of pasture of over 13 square meters and more than 300 cows and sheep to feed. With the help of local tourism bureau, they have managed to increase their income by operating this special Tibetan-styled traditional food and entertainment service.

According to local tourism administration, Yushu is now in its full swing to develop tourism and an increasing number of people are benefiting from the related business. There are 28 "tent receptions" so far in the area alone, creating extra income for locals and extra comfort for tourists. Visitors come to the tents not only for local dishes, but also to get a taste of real Tibetan culture.
