Actor files rape plaint against boyfriend

Mumbai: A small-time actress approached the Kandivli police on Monday and lodged a complaint of rape against her boyfriend, a stockbroker, after he allegedly went back on his promise to marry her. The two were living together at Kandivli West for 18 months.
When the police questioned her boyfriend, he claimed he had given her shelter as she did not have a roof over her head and she had suggested they live in.He said he never promised to marry her.
In another case registered at the Kandivali police station on Sunday, a pregnant domestic help accused her boyfriend of rape after he refused to marry her. He has been arrested. They lived in the same building. She said he got intimate with her after promising marriage.
