MUMBAI: A 16-year-old girl appears to have committed suicide at her Malwani residence on Sunday.
The girl, Simran Sayyed, did not leave behind a suicide note. She had quit studying two years ago and would keep to herself, police said.
Simran's parents found her hanging at their home in New Collector's Compound. She was rushed to a hospital where doctors pronounced her dead.
Her body was sent for an autopsy. Simran's parents later told the police that they did not suspect any foul play.
Malwani police recorded it as an accidental death
