TV and film actress Himani Shivpuri, who was in the city recently and will be seen essaying the role of Shabari in in the Ramlila by Lav Kush Ramlila Commitee, says that she looks for excuses to come to Delhi. Himani said, "This city is like my second home. I joined the National School of Drama in the 1980s and for anyone who joins the NSD, they eat, sleep and breathe theatre for three years. We not only act, but we are also expected to do the lighting, costume and everything."

Last seen in 'Vishkanya...Ek Anokhi Prem Kahani', the actress added, "Whenever I am in Delhi, I must visit Nathu’s for its chaat.
I love shopping at Lajpat Nagar and Khan Market. I am a shopaholic and Delhi is a Mecca for me."
Himani, who has done a wide range of movies and TV shows, said that she would love to work with Anurag Kashyap, Dibakar Banerjee and Neeraj Ghaywan because they are brilliant directors. "Last year, I saw 'Masaan' and loved it. It is such a good time for movies. But you know, films itni exciting ho rahi hain, aur television mein pata nahin kya ho raha hai! Nowadays, they are churning out similar characters. You either get to play a vicious mother-in-law who hates the bahu, or makkhis and naagins. There is no creative satisfaction in TV."
