Honour killing: video went viral, police register case against family

Lucknow, Aug 26 (UNI) A video that went viral on social media had stunned the Hathras police when they learnt that a girl was killed in the name of saving family 'honour' and to conceal the crime, the body was also buried.
The local police which swung into action after learning of the video had got a case registered, exhumed the body and sent it for a post-mortem examination yesterday.
However, the report failed to confirm the cause of death and viscera was preserved. Though, the family members were named in the killing but the cops were also grilling the lover who was present with the girl when video was shoot.
