The suspense element in Sa is such that even the cast doesn't know the climax
Actor-director Hemanth Hegde's release today, Sa, is his attempt at giving Kannada audiences a suspense thriller that will leave them guessing the outcome till the last frame. 'Sa follows a style of narration that has never been tried before in Kannada cinema and I am confident that this, combined with the screenplay and story, will make audiences sit up and take notice of the film,' says Hemanth, who wrote, directed and acted in the film produced by Sri Hari Entertainment.

The star cast, which includes two very popular names from television ' J Karthik and Vijay Suriya ' as well as Samyukta Hornad and Anuradha Mukherjee, will make for an interesting and rather diverse package, with their characterizations set to break the images that most of them have in the industry. Except Samyukta, who plays a sweet, girl-next-door kind of role, the shades that the other characters have will surprise audiences, says the actor-director.
Considering that the story is set against the backdrop of an estate, there are locations that Hemanth says will be a visual treat for audiences, especially Muthappa Rai's estate and a few locales in Puducherry.
Action, especially, a horse chase, is also a USP of Sa, says Hemanth. 'It's been a long time since a horse chase has been picturized in Kannada cinema, and ours is on par with those seen in Hollywood cinema, given the manner in which we shot it and the fact that our cast 'Karthik, Vijay and Samyukta ' shot without stunt doubles,' he says.
And last, but not the least, is the music. 'The background music has been scored by a bunch of newcomers, but they have steered clear of the normal formula used for suspense thrillers of cramming the film with loud music and have, instead, used a good mix of silence and sounds for the right effect. The songs by Veer Samarth are also ones to look out for, especially the track sung by Bengaluru gal Avril Quadros, Olagondu Horagondu.
