MINSK, 25 August (BelTA) – The children's tennis training camp under the tutelage of Victoria Azarenka was opened at the National Olympic Training Center in Minsk on 25 August, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian Tennis Federation.
On the first day of the training camp the leading Belarusian tennis player held a clinic for young athletes under 12 and gave them some playing tips. A mini tournament on 26 August will be followed by an autograph session with the participation of Victoria Azarenka. The athlete is also expected to meet with the media.
Victoria Azarenka is Belarus' number one. In January 2012 the Belarusian topped the WTA rankings. In June 2016 she was part of the WTA top ten. The athlete decided to take a break in her professional career due to pregnancy.
