Richa Chadda got trolled for defending Fawad Khan and Pakistani Culture, gives befitting replies on Twitter

Bollywood actress Richa Chadda was recently trolled on Twitter after she commented on cultural similarities with actor Fawad Khan, who hails from Pakistan. The actress was derogated as ‘bimbo’ and ‘dimwit’ for her answers at Indian Film Festival held in Melbourne. The actress decided to not take unnecessary shit opens up about it and give a befitting reply to the haters.

Let us put the pieces for you to understand what brought the whole tiff into inception in the first place. A journalist asked Fawad at IFFM about cultural disparities between film industries of India and Pakistan. Richa jumped in to the conversation in a fit to defend Fawad saying she would like to answer the question.

“I would like to answer that. Sorry, I am cutting in! You know we were colonised by the British for a really long time. It’s a part of the… I am sorry if I am offending anybody here, but if you look at the worldwide history, every time the British left an empire they divided it. Whether it was North Korea or South Korea, then there was Germany. It is a part of the strategy to keep political unrest to sort of maintain a global kind, I am sorry but your question to me doesn’t make sense because I will have far more in common with Fawad because I am from the North of India than I will have with somebody who is a Tambrahm or maybe Malayali or from the Northeast. I think we should avoid stereotyping in questions or creating some kind of contradiction here because the whole intent and especially art doesn’t really have any borders.”

People felt offended, especially those from the mentioned community and South India. A tweet directed to Richa reads, “@RichaChadha_ I can’t blame you for saying that..Us Tam Brahms have to put up with dimwits like you all the time. get well soon!”

“So, a bollywood bimbette @RichaChadha_ says she has more in common with a Muslim Pakistani than a Tam Brahm. hahaha” another tweet read.

The 29-year-old Fukre actress, gave a befitting replies to the trolls.

She slammed each one of them because she knows what she does and she does it like her!
