Nissan’s brand Ambassador, John Abraham has now become the owner of the Terrano. The Bollywood actor was handed over the keys to his new car by Sanjay Gupta, VP- Marketing, Nissan India. Last month, the company had given an opportunity to its customers to test drive Terrano for a chance to meet the actor.
Nisaan Terrano is offered in both petrol and diesel engines. The 1.5 L dCI, diesel motor is available in two states of tune- 85 hp of power and peak torque of 200Nm and 110hp of power at 248Nm of peak torque. The petrol engine, on the other hand is powered by a 1.6 L MPFI engine which produces 104hp of peak torque and 145Nm of peak torque. In the diesel variants, power is transmitted by a 6-speed manual transmission and a 5-speed manual transmission does the duties in the petrol version.
On the exterior, the car gets body-coloured bumpers, tinted glass, 16-inch alloy wheels, chrome exhaust and much more. Inside the cabin, the Terrano features chrome insert on the gear shift knob, door trim finish, chrome interior door handles etc. As for the safety, car comes equipped with an ABS, EBD with BA, central locking, rear defogger, reverse parking sensors, driver seat belt reminder and speed sensing auto door lock.
To boost its sales in market, the Japanese car maker is also planning to launch the AMT version of Terrano later this year. The entry level price of Nissan Terrano starts at 9.99 lakh (Ex- showroom Delhi) .
