Six of a truck looters gang arrested

Tharwai police on Wednesday busted a gang of truck looters by arresting five people and recovering a looted four-wheeler. The gang members used to flee with four-wheelers parked at dhabas on highways between 1 and 3 am and sell the dismantled parts in Delhi, West Bengal and UP. SSP Jogandra Singh said that after getting information that truck looters would be arriving with arms in an sports utility vehicle at Lalchaha dhaba on Phaphamau highway, Tharwai police, in coordination with Sarai Inayat station officer, reached there and surrounded the place.At around 1.30 am, the accused arrived and entered the dhaba. The police arrested the five accused identified as Sajid Ali, Aqil, Shmir, Bhola, Ramesh and Saroj, all residents of Pratapgarh.
