Traffic diversions in place for Janmashtami

District administration has imposed traffic restrictions during Jhulelal shobha yatra and Janmashtami festival be celebrated on Thursday.The restrictions will come into force from 3 pm till the culmination of the events.

Kanpur: District administration has imposed traffic restrictions during Jhulelal shobha yatra and Janmashtami festival be celebrated on Thursday. The restrictions will come into force from 3 pm till the culmination of the events.
Movements of vehicles will remain restricted between Coca Cola crossing and Mariampur crossing and between JK Temple and ITI crossing and will be diverted towards Kakadeo police station.

Similarly, vehicles coming from Rajapurwa and Pandunagar Pulia will not be allowed to go towards JK Temple. Movement of four wheelers will remain suspended from Mariampur crossing to JK Temple and from Coca Cola crossing to Nazirabad.
During Jhulelal shobha yatra, vehicles coming from Bajaria and Jareeb Chowki will not be allowed to move towards P Road. Movement of heavy vehicles towards Shardanagar will also remain suspended till midnight and will be diverted towards Double Pulia to reach Vijay Nagar.
Similarly, heavy vehicles will not be allowed to move towards Jareeb Chowki from Fazalganj till midnight, and traffic movement between 80-Feet crossing and Rambagh crossing too will remain suspended. Movement of four wheelers will remain suspended during the procession.
The shobha yatra will begin from Leela Shah Ashram in Rambagh and after passing through P Road, 80 Feet Road, Nehru Nagar, Kamla Nehru Park, Jawahar Nagar road, Dwarkapuri Market and GT Road, will culminate at Lenin Park in P Road.
