Entertainment » OtherPosted at: Aug 25 2016 11:11AM CM announces compensation to fire victimsPuducherry, Aug 25 (UNI) Puducherry Chief Minister V Narayanasamy today announced a compensation of Rs.20000 to the houses which were fully gutted and Rs.10,000 to the houses partially gutted in a fire at Vanarapet in Ouppalam constituency, early today. Replying to a special mention moved by AIADMK legislature party leader A Anbazhagan in the house, Mr.Narayansamy said he along with Mr.Anbazhagan visted the area and consoled the affected. About 25 houses were gutted of which fifteen completely, he said, adding that the revenue department is taking necessary steps to provide succor to the affected and their rehabilitation. Announcing a compensation of Rs.20000 for fully gutted and Rs.10,000 for partially gutted houses from the Chief Minister’s relief fund, he said that the government would consider the construction of pucca houses in the area after discussions with all concerned since, some of the area belongs to the Railways.
