POONCH, Aug 24: Some assailants attacked a trader when he was returning home from his shop in Mendhar town and snatched his cash worth over rupees one lakh late this evening.
A police spokesman said that one Mohd Asif, son of Gulzar Hussain, resident of Gohlad was returning home after closing shop at around 9 pm. When he was walking through an isolated area in little darkness, some youth attacked him and snatched his cash worth over rupees one lakh. The accused also beaten up the trader when he was struggling with the cash. He managed to identify two of them.
Later, he lodged an FIR with the Mendhar police. The police registered a case and started investigation.
