JAMMU, Aug 24: A meeting of Martand Tirath Trust was held at Surya Bhawan here today which was presided over by Ashok Kumar Sidha, president of the Trust.
The meeting was held over Viral Video Captioned attack on CRPF Bunker in Martand premises. It said the attack had actually taken place on July 9 and it was not new.
The meeting said that the attack on CRPF bunker in Martand premises on August 23 and 24 as per newspaper report were found fake and doctored. Mr Sidha said that the video of the attack is not false but the attack was made on July 9 next day after the killing of Burhan Wani. It said as there is a bunker of CRPF in the Martand Shrine the protestors pelted stones on bunker. The stones fell in the compound of the shrine but there was no damage, he added.
Mr Sidha said the temple premises are safe and no such incident has taken place after July 9. He also appealed the community not pay any attention to rumors and stressed on restoration of peace and maintain of communal harmony at all costs.
