IBPS Clerk Recruitment 2016 notification released: Apply Online at www.ibps.in before September 12

IBPS will conduct two-phase exam for 19,243 clerk posts in 19 nationalised banks.

New Delhi, Aug 24: Online registration for Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) Clerk Exam 2016 (CWE VI) have begun and interested candidates can register on the IBPS official website www.ibps.in. The eligible aspirants who are willing to join the banking sector are required to register for 19,243 post of clerks through the Common Recruitment Process (CWE Clerks -VI). The online registrations have begun from August 22 and the last date for online registration is September 12.

The exam will be conducted in two phases and selection of the candidates will be based on the performance in Two Tier Online Examination. The Tier I will be Preliminary Exam and Tier II will be Mains Exam. The aspirants who will qualify IBPS Clerk Preliminary Exam will be eligible to appear for IBPS Clerk Mains Exam 2016. The Preliminary Exam will be conducted on 26 and 27 November and on December 3 and 4 (if required). The IBPS clerks preliminary exam result will be announced in December. The IBPS clerk mains exam will be conducted on December 31 and January 1, 2017. The results of mains exam is likely to be declared by April 2017.

The eligible candidate must possess a graduation degree from a recognised university. They also must have operating and working knowledge in computer systems, which is mandatory. Candidates selected through the IBPS clerk exam will be posted in 19 public sector banks. These include Allahabad Bank, Andhra Bank, Bank of Baroda, Bank of India, Bank of India, Bank of Maharashtra, Canara Bank, Central Bank of India, Corporation Bank, Dena Bank, IDBI Bank, Indian Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, Oriental Bank of Commerce, Punjab National Bank, Punjab and Sind Bank, State Bank of India, Syndicate Bank, Union Bank of India, United Bank of India, Vijaya Bank.

Prerequisite for Online Application

Before filling the online application form, the interested candidates should get their photograph of 4.5 cm x 3.5 cm scanned and signature as specified in complete advertisement. The signatures in the capital letter will not be applicable. The aspirants should keep the necessary details/documents ready to make online payment of the requisite application fee/intimation charges. One should have a personal email ID, which should be kept active till the completion of this round of Common Recruitment Process. IBPS will send all the communication including the call letters for the examination to the registered e-mail id.

The candidates are advised to read the advertisement and start filling the application form as no change in any of the data filled in the online application will be possible/entertained. Before submission of the application form, candidates should use the “SAVE AND NEXT” facility for verifying the details in the online application form and modify the same if required. Once Final Submit button is clicked, no change could be made in application form.
