VBU tag for Sikh regiment's military courses

Ramgarh: The Sikh Regiment Centre on Monday got affiliation from Vinobha Bhave University for running as many as five courses for military personnel of the regiment. Human Resources Development Centre (HRDC) constituted by the Sikh Regimental Centre in Ramgarh got official right from the university to run courses.
It is a new achievement for the Sikh regiment, one of the oldest regiments of Indian Army known for its bravery.
In an official ceremony organized by Sikh Regimental Centre in Ramgarh on Monday evening, the vice-chancellor of Vinoba Bhave University (VBU) Girdeep Singh handed over affiliation certificate to Brigadier KBK Keshab, commandant , Sikh Regimental Centre in the presence of other officials of VBU and senior Army officials of the regiment.
Brigadier KBK Keshab said that Vinoba Bhave University has affiliated certain academic courses run by the HRDC of the Sikh Regimental Centre to accolade the JCOs and OR with a certificate.
HRDC of Sikh Regimental Centre now run courses of Rect Clerks Course of basic office management, non-commissioned officer clerks (Advance office management course), and basic foundation course (Academic), Army certificate of education and map reading (Geographical information science) courses under the control of VBU, said an official.
This association will help all the individual who will pass out from The Sikh Regimental Centre as trained soldiers in their future life, official added
Earlier, in June Brigadier Keshav had appreciated the initiative of the state government to co-operate with the Cantonment Board of Ramgarh (CBR), to start the water supply project that would be beneficial for the people of those areas which are deproved of drinking water supply.
