Duvva Sesha Babji, party district secretary, told mediapersons that thousands of acres in central delta and eastern delta were starved of water and government has failed to take any action to solve the problem. In Konaseema region farmers declared crop holiday due to water crisis. Even in other areas where the farmers had cultivated paddy in 1.82 lakh hectares, the crop in 3,000 hectares getting withered away due to severe water crisis.
