KOLKATA: 'Banglar Swapna Sundari' had their Kolkata auditions on Saturday at the Circle Club. Banglar Swapna Sundari is an endeavour to give a podium to the upcoming models from in and around West Bengal and help realise their dreams in the world of glamour.
The finale will be held on Saturday, September 24.
The audition round was judged by eminent celebrities Stylist and designer Suchismita Dasgupta, Priya Paul of Bigg Boss fame, Actress Suchandra Vaaniya and Rajat of Rajat Kaushik fame.

Over 50 amateur models participated in the event and were seen walking the ramp with élan as well as facing some gruelling questions by the judges and also showcasing their talents in front of them.
Speaking at the event, organizer NG Debnath said, “This beauty pageant is a never before attempt at highlighting the beauty and talent of upcoming models from in and around the city and the state. I am extremely happy with the kind of talent that has come to the fore.”
Judge Rajat went on to add, “Though they are a little rough around the edges, but that is why we are here. We will help groom them, but the talent present is really very good.”

Priya Paul too was of the same opinion, adding further that while the talent indeed was very good what surprised her more was the confidence. “The level of confidence that these girls have shown is really surprising. I was bowled over. We could never do the same at their age, but they are much more professionals!”
The initial audition round saw the contestants walking the ramp in western wear at the end of which 20 were selected.
