The Ten Most Expensive Rides Sold In Auction At Monterey Car Week
Gooding and Company had hosted an auction at the Monterey Car Week 2016, near the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. A total of 43 cars were sold till Sunday.
The car which brought the highest revenue for Gooding was a 1933 Alfa Romeo which was sold for a whopping $12 million dollars. Surprisingly Ferrari was only the fifth expensive car sold. Here's the top 10 list of cars that were sold during the weekend.

10. 1956 Ferrari 250GT Boano Coupe
The 1965 Ferrari 250GT Boano Coupe was sold for$1,485,000. One of the iconic tourer model from Ferrari fell just short of the $1.5 million mark.
8(tie) 1971 Maserati Ghibli 4.9 SS Spider
This Maserati's 1971Ghibli 4.9 SS Spider was sold for$1,500,000. It fell short by $250K of Goodings estimate.
8 (tie) 1960 Ferrari 250GT Series II Cabriolet
The1960 Ferrari 250GT Series II Cabriolet was produced between 1959 to 1962. Only 200 units were manufactured during this time. This Ferrai sold at a price of$1,500,000.
7. 1932 Rolls-Royce Phantom II Continental Berline
The 1932 Rolls-Royce Phantom II Continental Berline went under the hammer for$1,760,000. It features the last series of chassis designed under Henry Royce.
6. 1985 Ferrari 288GTO
The1985 Ferrari 288GTO was sold for$2,420,000. Enzo Ferrari produced only 200 of these cars.
5. 1968 Ferrari 330GTS
One of the Ferrari's trademark V12 models, the1968 Ferrari 330GTS sold for a mammoth$2,502,500.
4. 1954 Aston Martin DB2/4 Bertone Spider
The open-top 1954 Aston Martin DB2/4 Bertone Spider went under the hammer for$3,080,000. The car features a detachable top.
3. 1957 Maserati A6G/54 Spider
This 1957 Maserati A6G/54 Spider was sold for $3,300,000. The car was originally manufactured since 1947 and was Maserati's first proper road going car.
2. 1932 Bugatti Type 55 Roadster
Designed by Jean Bugatti, the 1932 Bugatti Type 55 Roadster sold for$10,400,000. Gooding said that this was a record bid for any Bugatti car.
1. 1933 Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Monza
One of the most expensive car sold in the auction, which sold for$11,990,000 was the 1933 Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Monza. This car has an in-line eight-cylinder engine that makes 180bhp.
